We, in this case, means Alanna Munro Type. We’re based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy applies to information we collect when you use our website, alannamunro.com. By using our website, you’re agreeing to the collection and usage of information as outlined here.
What We Collect And Why
When you pay for a product, we ask for your email address, credit card, and billing and shipping address. That’s so we can charge you for the product, calculate taxes due, and send you invoices. We do not store any financial or credit card information on our servers. This is handled securely by Snipcart and Stripe, as described in Service Providers below.
We occasionally send out emails, for example when we release a new typeface, that you can opt into receiving. When you subscribe, you’ll be asked for your email address, and can optionally provide some other personal information like your first and last name.
We do not sell or share this email list with any third parties, other than the third party service, MailerLite, that maintains the software to send our email newsletters, as described in Service Providers.
If you’ve joined our mailing list, you’ll stay on until you request to be removed from it.
You can be removed from it at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link that is included with every email.
If you have made a purchase with us, we may email you about relevant updates or details about that purchase. For example, if an updated version of a typeface is released, you may be emailed about the update.
When you contact us for support, we keep that correspondence, including the email address, so that we have a history of past correspondences to reference if you reach out in the future. We also store any information you volunteer like in surveys.
We do not sell information about our customers to others. The personal data we collect will not be used or disclosed except in accordance with our stated purposes.
We may collect, use or disclose your personal data without your consent in the following circumstances:
- when required by law,
- in an emergency that threatens an individual’s life, health, or personal security,
- when the personal data is available from a public source,
- when we require legal advice from a lawyer,

- other legally established reasons.

The data collected by Google Analytics is supplemented by an IP masking feature. This removes the last octet of visitor’s IP address prior to its use or storage, reducing the accuracy of IP addresses collected. Google automatically anonymizes the last octet of visitor’s IP addresses from member states of the European Union as well as other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to and shortened by Google servers in the United States.
