A wordmark for a brand that prioritizes clear communication and a playful numeral set to reinforce the wordmark shapes throughout the brand materials.
I was brought into this project to tidy up the wordmark which had been created from a base typeface with a modified ‘N’ character. I was also asked to create a numeral set that would express the same visual style as the modified N.
The wordmark refinement centered mainly around the ‘N’ character and we tried a few different versions before settling on the asymmetrical version which was the most dynamic while still remaining clear.
The numeral set was based on the wordmark and the biggest challenge was to keep the numbers recognizable within such a playful design concept. Communicating with clarity is a key message of the brand so we took care to ensure that the numbers could not be mistaken for symbols or letters from other languages.
I’m happy to have contributed to this larger branding project that was art directed and produced by Pendo Creative. By keeping the brand messaging top of mind and using knowledge of symbols in other languages we were able to create a logo and numeral set that communicates clearly and creatively.
